Hexagon Radiographic Probe Systems
Hexagon radio-wave probes are touch trigger probes. When approaching a workpiece surface, the stylus deflects and a trigger signal is transmitted to the receiver by radio wave. This receiver converts the radio waves to an electrical signal sent to the control. Interference-free signal transmission between probe and receiver is absolutely vital for process-reliable measuring on machine tools. Radio transmission is effected in the 2.4 GHz frequency band being internationally approved and providing particularly high penetration. The receiver is paired with the probe and will block any other signals so there is a reliable communication possible.
